These pages are about our dogs and is going to be under construction for some time as we continue to update with details and stories past, present and future. We also hope to include the dogs of the people who train with us regularly.

We currently (July 2009) live with 7 dogs starting with the veterens

Dash a working sheepdog from Valgrays rescue now 14 years old, and Tip a Grey Tervuren Belgian Shepherd Dog 13 years old, they are both retired now but enjoy pottering around the farm and scrounging treats from visitors.

Rusty a Parsons Russel Terrier 5 years old. He is now competing at grade 6 in Agility and he is also a keen vermin hunter.

Ty a dual registered Border Collie (Kennel Club and International Sheepdog Society) he is 4 years old and is competing at Grade 5 in agility and he also works sheep.

Jet a red Tervuren Belgian Shepherd Dog just 3 years old in June and also competing at Grade 4 in Agility, he has done some sheepdog training and could be quite useful, he has also done working trials training and is a good tracking dog. I would like to do some trials with him but he keeps injuring himself doing the scale.

Emmy a red Tervuren Belgian Shepherd Dog just a year old but showing a lot of promise as a working dog, she is also a natural "stooge" dog, she is great in controlling other dogs in a social group. This something we are encouraging for our behavioural work.

Holly a rehomed dual registered Border Collie she is now 18month old and is a special case and has her own web page.

As you can see most of our dogs are quite young that is because we tragically and unexpectly lost 3 dogs to seperate illness about 3 years ago and we had to start again.

We have 12 acres around our house and access to some more land when farming permits. The dogs can run free a lot of the time which can present some training problems but we balance that out by training regularly and incorporating training into our everyday life. We don't train everything everyday we do some sort of agility 3 or 4 times a week and on other days herding or a track, or search, or sendaway sometimes even heelwork or stays, and the girls love teaching the dogs tricks which is useful when the weather is bad.

All the dogs have little jobs to do on farm, herding, guarding and pest control that they really enjoy. We also get them away for long walks in the nearby Mendip Hills or on the beach when we can. We have a couple of heated kennels and outbuildings we use as day shelters but once the dogs are (fairly) clean and dry they come in the house for the night. None of us could sit and watch telly, read or write webpages without a dog curled up by us.
